I'm just getting back into cycling after a 10-year gap (apart from a Brompton), so I'm gradually building the miles back up. Currently I typically do 20-30 mile days, but I'm signed-up for the London-to-Brighton, London-to-Cambridge and London-to-Southend rides.
As for comfort, yes! It's supremely comfy.

Thanks in anticipation.
Richard.
I have owned a Grass Hopper for about a year now - and love it. I don't think it's any faster than a conventional bike, but it is a lot more comfortable and therefore I ride it more often. It did take me a while to get used to it though - to start with, I'd wobble around and was very cautious in traffic. Now I ride it in central London from time to time and it feels as natural as any other bike I've ridden.
Mine has the airshock - which works really well - and the SRAM dualdrive, which also works well (the hub gear's ability to change whilst stationary is really useful).
The HPV bodylink seat is brilliant
Unfortunately I'm on the other side of the country to you otherwise you would be welcome to try it out.
Hope this helps a bit!
Cheers

I have one and I like it, but is one bike too many especially now I have a small child. I am thus selling and am in Chester. I am about to list on eBay and will post here when I have done so. My machine is high spec: discs and SON dynohub, mudguards, rack and with underseat steering.
I still think is a great machine. It is fun to ride and great for heavy loads too.
