I like is Sabra Dance by Love Sculpture, I heard one on the radio, I had not heard for years and I can't think of now. I thought the tune was great. Come to think of it now, brains a bit slow due to the Boddington's. Something like you better run, bit of a fast tempo.

On recent rides anything by "Wet Wet Wet" is usually appropriate.

Actually, I agree. I think earphone listening can be dangerously distracting, you need all your senses (including the sixth) unimpeded on a busy road. Anyway, it's nice to get away from man-made music while out-of-doors, and the birdsong is rather nice at this time of year.

I would never dream of riding with headphones for many reasons. The first being safety and the second being that it is so nice to be away from electronic noise etc and hear the sounds of the world.

'Painkiller' by Turin Brakes
Summer rain
Dripping down your face again
Summer rain
Praying someone feels the same
Take the painkiller:
Cycle on your bicycle
And leave all this misery behind
