We are trying to buy a bit of new lighter weight gear and would love to see it en masses so we can make comparisons and priorities. Which exhibitions would you recommend? Is the bike show any good or would we be better at the caravan Andy camping exhibition?
Cheers

Re: Best exhibition for lightweight gear
If you want to see the best display of lightweight camping equipment, find out when the Backpackers Club AGM is and go along. You will be able to get first hand advice from those who are using such equipment.
There is your way. There is my way. But there is no "the way".

+1 for bikepacker's suggestion. The AGM/Club meet venue changes annually. I've been to a couple that were fairly local to me and found them fascinating but be warned that they can be disastrously expensive, though they do have stuff on special offers. It's all down to willpower.......
You could also try Googling "TGO Challenge kit lists" which will give you access to what equipment is in use by some very experienced & unbelievably lightweight backpackers. You'll find links to a whole melee of blogs containing designs, reviews & recommendations for the type of gear you're interested in. Beware! It can be addictive......
