I find chemical footwarmers work well for several hours. I never realised I was pedalling wrongly.

+1 Best thing I ever did in terms of my cycling technique. One winter on a fixed and when I got back on gears my cadence was up and gears down. It's stayed that way ever since. That was nearly 40 years ago.
