What am I looking for? (Fork mount stand)
I am looking for a thing to help carry #1 spawn’s bike in the car.
What I’ve got in my head is a flat plate with a 9mm axle on short risers so the fork can be clamped onto it, keeping the bike upright.
Anyone know what it is I’m looking for?
Thanks!

Try googling for in-car bike carrier. There are some around but not many.
Re: What am I looking for? (Fork mount stand)
I have a thingy that is meant to go on the wall and secures a bike by the front forks with a QR. Might also work to hold a bike upright by the front forks if screwed to a bike-sized bit of plywood that goes flat in the car etc?
It is in the garage in the box of bits from 3 houses ago, so bit of a long shot. Hang on........
Found it - that was easy!
As seen on TV, it says!

Thanks all! I have stuff to work with...
Re: What am I looking for? (Fork mount stand)
You can make one from scrap quite quickly.
Saw a piece of 2*4 timber so you have two uprights 50mm long and another piece about a metre long (or a suitable length for the internal width of your car.
Screw the short pieces upright to the long so their outside faces stand 100mm apart. Drill a facing hole through the top of the short sections so a QR lever or threaded axle passes through. You may need a bit of shaping to the top of the wood to clear the fork tubes.
Set the bike in minus front wheel and tighten up the rear brake so it doesn't rock back and forth.

The older I get the more I’m inclined to act my shoe size, not my age.

Anyone know how wide a Thule 592 is (assuming I can find one)?
