I'm looking to purchase another bike and am looking at something British.
I'm currently eyeing up the Orange R9 Rs, has anyone had any experience with one of these or could recommend another British made bike?
Thanks Luke

The only thing we have to go on at this point is 'British+road'.
Off the peg:
Alex Moulton Speed
Pashley Roadfinder
Then there are the bespoke options.

It depends what you mean by "British"
If you want a British company, there will be quite a lot of choice.
If you want assembled in Britain, many imported bikes will be assembled by the retailer, so more choice again.
If you want a British built frame, your choice will go down drastically
If you want all British frame and components, that will be impossible.
So, what do you mean by "British"?
[btw the Orange carbon road bike frames I think you suggest are made in Taiwan

If you just want 'assembled in Britain', then Planet X will give you a Taiwanese frame for the fraction of what Orange ask.
Orro use British carbon fibre, but they, er, then send it to Taiwan

The finish on Orange is much better! The high-end stuff is still fabricated in the UK as far as I know, the lowlier frames in Taiwan.

Had a Planet X "Holdsworth " frame ... Taiwan or Vietnam .... not sure which ... every time you touched the frame a lump of paint fell off .. it's like it was a crust not bonded in any way ....

Compared to the On-One Pompino I have.... I doubt I've ever seen a better paint job on a bike! and it seems to be durable.
