This happened in my brothers frost proof garage, the hub is from Campag wheel unused for a few years. Looks like a job for both duct tape and superglue

Greasing the bearings should be really easy now, once you've picked them all up off the floor.
Edit doesn't look loose bearings, don't bother.

I think things got a leettle too tense,or perhaps I spoke to soon......
