Another google find from earlier was the Coffeejack, which is a pump type espresso machine, it's crowdfunded and some people must have high expectations, it's £75 and has almost raised £1 million!

That looks interesting , compact too Amazing amount of people who have faith in these entrepreneurs. I’ll wait until the summer and see if they are real.

They compare its pressure with non espresso machines for some reason.

Like all these crowdfunded projects it’s full of the usual marketing guff.
The biggest worry for me was "large 14g shot". If I’m not mistaken that will be 3 teaspoons 15 ml
My coffee in front of me now is from a 3 cup Bialetti I put 145ml of water in and get approx 120 ml of coffee out. I then put an equal amount of water on the top.
Sitting with a 30 ml Americano is not my style.
Edit Should add I thought the clip for the bag complete with measuring spoon was good.

Most off-putting for me was "Designed by former Dyson engineers"
Although it has the gadget appeal, I have no interest of getting one, I just thought it interesting. I like filter coffee, not just like but given the choice will have it over anything made in a machine, that it's the cheapest and simplest option is just a bonus.

IIRC A typical single espresso is generally taken at 1 floz, or 28 ml (which assuming coffee is roughly as dense as water, ~28g)
So half of an already rather small cup is... a bit lacking in volume by my reckoning as well as yours!
Pete.

I presumed that the 14g was referring to the ground coffee before extraction (which sounds about right to me for a portable espresso machine) and not the resultant espresso but on re-reading it, it does appear to be referring to the end product.

14g coffee could make a double espresso. mmm you may have a point. Breaking the habit of a lifetime I’ve been back and watched the video. Being kind to myself I didn’t watch it all and managed to pull out at 45 seconds. At around 40 seconds it states a 14g measure of coffee ( ground not extracted). So I think @frieston you may be right.
What it does indicate, maybe, is young people like making their videos and possibly have over two minutes free to watch them. While at the same time are unable to write what they actually mean.
