I enjoy using my Aeropress at home as it makes great coffee, but there's not enough room in my panniers to bring it on tour with me.

I just read about the Aeropress Go which is the same coffee maker in a more portable form. The aeropress, scoop, stirrer and filters all pack together inside a plastic cup



Looks perfect for bike touring

I can’t see that much of an advantage. Weight won’t be significantly different especially as taking the scoop and stirrer isn’t essential. I’ve a permanent stainless steel filter in mine now with no need for papers.
Bear in mind you’ve a large storage area within the plunger of the original aeropress. It’s a safe storage area for a couple of eggs, sharp kitchen knives or loo paper. The list is endless

I tour with the standard Aeropress....also have the stainless steel filter rather than the papers.

I also have a Porlex mini grinder to grind my own beans each morning....the grinder fits nicely in to the empty cavity of the Aeropress.
I don’t bother with the stirrer and have a Kleen Kanteen stainless steel coffee mug.

I realise I’m only 12 months late replying to this post but might be useful for someone.
I use both dripper and aero press at home. I bought this super lightweight dripper for touring and absolutely love it. It’s a filter holder made by Ortlieb and extremely lightweight.

Very useful! Looks to be £9 from a couple of online stores - out of stock at some and there's some suggestion it may be a discontinued line. It needs you to take two extra tent pegs or similar to hold it up, in case anyone hasn't guessed.

I used two tent pegs as I had a couple spare on that trip. I’ve also used a couple of twigs in the past which work just as well. It would be a shame if they’ve discontinued them though.

I've used this for several years. Simple, light & robust.

I was looking at those recently. They look great for travelling as well as cycle touring.
You wouldn’t really want to use the ortlieb version in a hotel room.

I haven't been overly impressed with it, it's OK but you really need running water to clean it out and I'm quite often wild camping. I also prefer the drip coffee I make at home, I know it's waste but the paper cones are easy to carry and dispose of. I've been carrying a standard plastic V60, the bulk doesn't really matter as I'll keep the bag of coffee in it.
Though in a gadget loving way, the folding one linked by Hobbes appeals.

On my travels, I use a cafetiere style infusion brewer which doubles as an insulated mug - the filter is at the end of a metal sleeve instead of a central rod:

Though when I google to find the price, there's nothing more recent than 2013, a couple of years after it came out, so I'm assuming it was either no good, or a poor seller.
Searching for that, I came across quite a few coffee makers I hadn't seen before. This one looked interesting, with a twist to push the water through the coffee, but I'm not sure the results would be any better than a drip or press.

It's a shame that the Airspresso seems to be defunct. I found another machine which uses its own inbuilt hand pump - prices seem to range from about £50 to £90:
