More bears.
Serious bear
Serious bear
The stitched bear was made for a wee girl who'd just had a small op leaving a cut on her stomach wrapped in a bandage. The bear also had a wee cut (a line of pink stitches) in the same place and was wrapped in the same sort of bandage.

The following is a before and after pair of pics of one of her renovations.

And the next is a memory bear made using a favourite gran's pinny that she habitually wore for years & years.

One more clutch of bear photos to follow. :-)

I would be most interested to see some of your projects.
Could you post photos?

The current Broken Britain cabinet does appear to consist of rather wooden figures, all of whom are liars. I am suspecting that there is someone making wooden puppets of the Pinocchio ilk albeit with far less charm.

As I understand it, they have all been sold to puppeteers of the kind that enjoy horror shows, inclusive of general destruction, abuse of one puppet by another and a general descent into a tangle of broken puppets and mangled scenery. Like Punch & Judy for Borstal boys. Or those who go to Eton.

Myself, I prefer a nice well-behaved cupboard with a welcoming aspect and plenty of pleasing & useful content, from delicious cakes to shiny tools. (And gloves and ridiculous wooly hats for cycling in winter).

Cugel, still thinking of building guillotine, mind.

The hall cabinet recently pictured is complete ... maybe. The top two recesses are currently shelves; but they could be drawer 'oles. We're going to use them as shelves for a while (gloves, scarves and other small outdoor clothing items) but if a need for drawers arises I'll make two of the classic dovetailed carcases clad with frame & panel fronts.

The whole caboodle:

Some details follow.

Some details of the inlaid and outlined (with stringing) panels in the shelves; the oak knob turned on the drill press and glued into the door with a wedged round tenon that's part of the knob (it'll be cut off and cleaned up when the glue's dry); the aged-brass hinges.

Artist- phartist. Craftsmanship is all I aim for since that art is so often clad in meanings of little or no interest; or none at all. :-)

Also, I lack the artistic temperament, which seems to consist of a large dollop of psychosis, some exotic angsts and a squirt of self-obsession, all sprinkled with prima-donna dust.

Cugel, just a tool junky.

Art is about how something makes you feel.

I didnt rate St Ives Tate which seemed full of pre WWII cubeist paintings. Made no impression on me. Horizon will be along in a minute.... Now Mondrian.... :)

A sloth of bears.

I don't think that I have ever heard it used... except when discussing collective nouns.
