My Raleigh Jirra, 3 years old, just broke in two! The hinge at the bottom bracket broke in two due to not being man enough - no excessive batterings either! The shop I bought it from won't entertain it as I lost the receipt - any tips on how to approach Raleigh??

Rapidly with the severed end of your down tube might work!

Seriously though, for all it's faults I don't think Raleigh would be keen on a whole lot of publicity over something like this and would probably offer a reasonable compromise. I would imagine there will be a web site with some sort of contact point.

At one time Raleigh advertised their bikes as "Everlasting" A friend of mine wrote to Raleigh when his frame snapped and they replaced it free of charge. By the way the frame was over 40 years old!
