The first occasion that I encountered wild boar (Bretagne, 100 years ago) i inexplicably broke into song. It performed the trick admirably and I’ve used that song ever since. I mean, why risk a different tune? It may only be ‘Delilah’ that bothers them so much they leave.

"Figaro, Figaro, Fi ga ro . . . . . . . . . . . . "
