I do always wear a helmet though, and lycra in the summer, though I don't really have the legs for it. :lol:

I don't use any panniers. The thought of humping panniers,tents,bar bags,kitchen sinks,wet weather gear, spare socks etc etc around on a bike is absolutely anathema to me. I don't tour. So at my age, wearing a helmet when my wife insists, not cycling on pavements, using cycle tracks, listening to music as I ride and often using one pannier which is balanced by the fact I use one mirror; I'm ok then?
Don't let them win but keep up the struggle and wear them all down by our persistence.

yes, all cyclists does sadly mean even those with just on pannier :lol:
