Lucky you've never seen the assymetrical rear triangle on Quackers with an off-centre mudguard. Goes rather nicely with just one pannier......

I saw something terrible last night. I saw a bike with two panniers but one was full and bulging the other was empty. So unsymmetrical, so horrible to behold. Why did the cyclist not sort them to me symmetrical?
Don't let them win but keep up the struggle and wear them all down by our persistence.

maybe it was me. sometimes when I go shopping I put lettuce and the like - bulky but light stuff - in one and then heavy compact stuff in the other (so it doesn't squash my lettuce). They probably weigh the same but one looks stuffed full and the other almost empty.

I often take a single pannier - just so I can carry the helmet.

...honestly.

Its always a right hand one tho'.

If I want to write about helmets I will. No one not even Lawrie9 will stop me!

At the moment I don't but when I do I will OK?

Being a Motor Cyclist for years, when I decided to buy a cycle for the first time, I naturally budgeted for a helmet as well. Cycle helmets are nowhere near as protective, but anything is better than nothing to my mind.

hmm, shouldn't this thread be titled "no more posts about helmets", rather than the slightly more argumentative "no more helmets"?
this is why events unerve me

You just cannot get away from the subject. There's even a letter in today's The Times
