Just one further point to add (hopefully not adding confusion).

Campag bottom brackets of the same length often have different offsets, notably in the 111mm size. The Mirage/Veloce/Centaur one is symmetrical, but there is also one for Record/Chorus triples which is asymmetrical.

I have a 111mm axle .....
IMHO the 111 mm will be pretty close but it may not give the exact same chainline etc. as the correct 109 mm BB.

it would be useful to create a table, saying which Campagnolo crank type needs a symmetrical/asymmetrical axle, and of which ideal length

I've already apologised for not being on the forum much in the last few months.

Brucey. Nice to see you on here! :D

Campag Victory.
I had a Victory rear mech, calliper brakes, and still use the Victory DT levers. The rear mech and the brakes were sold (on here) years ago.
Back in old days when I built up my Mercian Vincitore with Victory, I dreamed of the Victory chainset but settled to the Stronglight 99 .......... up for sale now on the forum.

As many of you know, I spent many years in the RN ........ and often took a bike on the ships with me ........ as well as my Mercian.
My ship was in Singapore in 1988, and down in Sambewang village I saw a bike shop and they had a Victory double in the window.
They were closed each time I walked (and rode) past it. I really regret not having the chance of buying it.
