The whole of the Southwest under warning?
Minus one out there now, but dry and clear.

Are we STILL suffering from Michael Fish Syndrome?

Cleared 5" of snow off the van about 3pm -- went out at 7pm and had to do the same again.

Good deed for the day -- towed a neighbors car out of his garden with me owl van. Big long curved driveway but because it was just one big field of snow he went off the edge.
I am here. Where are you?

Good morning guys.
Just got up, and having a pot of tea.

Minus Three out there. Dry, but frosty. It'll be too damned cold for me to ride today.

As a additional, the Met Office website say it's +1degC out there now - wrong.
BBC website, say it's Zero - also wrong.

Woke up to a light dusting of snow at 7.30. Sleet showers now falling on frozen ground. A recipe for a repeat of the traffic chaos of yesterday. Bus services have been curtailed to only running on gritted roads cutting off rural communities. And the EA have declared a major incident on the Somerset levels due to flooding and have finally installed temporary pumps and started pumping.
Water water everywhere. :( and iceing on top

For anyone that is familiar with the Somerset levels here's the EA update.

The temp has climbed to the dizzy heights of zero.
Slight smattering of soft hail about, and still coming down on and off. If that thaws today, and then freezes later, we will be frozen in and unable to leave the house - which has happened on and off though the years.

Snow. So of course our bike club AGM/dinner is scheduled for Saturday evening at a restaurant some 15 hilly, twisty km through the forest from here, as usual.
Have we got time for another cuppa?

Doing some logging rather than riding.
Come in for a cuppa, then back out to finish off ........... then I may as well walk the dog.

There's a thaw on now in the morning spring sunshine. Don't tell me it's not spring, as the daffs are out and there's buds on the trees, and I've seen that the grass is starting to grow.

No sign of the water lily's here on the levels.
Current owners (builders) bought this property adjacent to the river Tone at auction after the 2014 floods. They were convinced it was only a 1 in 100 year event. :(
