Is that the rothbury road? fast horrible busy road that, the long straight sections encourages cars to go as fast as they possibly can. Used to ride that road regularly as a child when I lived their many years ago - would be very reluctant to cycle on it now.
Yes. Aside from a couple years commuting it '14-'15, I'll ride it occasionally. Sightlines are so clear, that never really had an issue on the bike and aside from two ascents, it's 11 miles with large elements downhill or freewheeling (Nb. At least heading North). And pretty decent views

Barsteward !

We had constant heavy rain and wind for weeks -- Monday and Tuesday were cold but rideable so got 30 miles in yesterday.

Today sounds like a hurricane outside. Stuff getting thrown around by the wind.

16° C here this afternoon (well officially 15.8°C) I thought it was warm on my ride, should have worn shorts. Recorded at Merryfield airfield near Ilton, a new record for new years eve. 8)

The storm outside sounds like it wants to rip the roof off. Glad we got out for a ride yesterday even if we did get a soaking on the way home.

Incredibly warm, dry with a next to full sun. Wind's supposed to be up, which may limit a ride, but will definitely be on the bike today (Nb. Can't quite believe it, but it's been over two weeks since I've been on the bike!)

And it turned out to be 39 miles in shirt sleeves, other than the first couple of miles. Far too hot for a coat, or gloves, never mind a hat.

12C and blowing a hoolie out there.
Not ridden a bike since November but doubt I’m starting again today.

The difference in temperature since the weekend is remarkable. Sunday was almost t-shirt weather even with a 25+ mph wind. Now that wind has moved from west to north west and is biting cold. The relative temperatures after windchill are ten degrees C lower but being close to freezing now the difference feels much more.
