The slightest of frosts today, but it was actually trying to spit with rain this morning. Not enough to really notice, but the weather is now much more like March.

I did 85km this morning, mostly asphalt and with a bit of hideously muddy gravel. When the frost comes out of the ground, the gravel goes to mush, and it's still very much in that phase.

The sea has now fully thawed as well, with just a few token mini icebergs as a reminder of the deep freeze we had last month.

Was that car over taking on the left ? Just that they're supposed to drive on the right over there aren't they?

It was an overtaking car, correct.

Lovely mild weather last week ( into double figures temps ) and I think there was one day where it didn't rain. This week it's back to icy sleet and high winds. 2°C. Just now the wind kicked up suddenly to around 60+ MPH -- it spat my wheelie bins across the garden. Seems to have settled back down to around 20MPH as I posted this.

In the last week we have enjoyed mild, light winds from the east and endured freezing gales from the west. That’s a far from conventional combination.
It’s very much a case of preparing for anything if you venture out at the present time.

It's blowing a hoolie down here in the South West and only 7 °C so 10°C less than yesterday. It's windy across the whole country judging by how close we are to record wind generation. I'm waiting for the wind to abate before I venture out.

Yes, we are on top of a hill not far from rjb out on the levels. Its very windy here driving the apparent temperature down. Our big gates are taking a hammering and this has apparently been a problem before judging by the ironmongery.

Winter has returned: I came out of Lidl into a shower of pellet snow. Changing tyres on my ebike to something more puncture resistant will have to wait for a warmer day.

After a weekend in dry but slightly chilly Bedford, we crossed the bridge to Wales this afternoon to be immediately greeted by 45mph winds and constant rain. Like in Northern Ireland, it just doesn’t stop, so I loved and empathised with the comments about one less hour of rain!! So true for most of the western side of the uk….. again

I'm in the UK for two weeks now, so expecting to have a full years worth of weather during the fortnight we're here!

Currently staying with my cousin in Broadstairs, on the Kent coast. Just about to head out on the bike for a morning spin and it's 11 m/s from the NW 8)

We're heading as far north as Edinburgh and as far south and west as Exeter, so I'm sure we'll experience it all. Some snow forecast in Edinburgh Easter weekend!

It might depend on the day of the week. Speaking recently with an Australian friend who live in the UK, an Oz joke on the British weather.
An Australian arrives at a UK airport and asks a local when the summer will be here. Local thinks, and replies, well last year summer was on a Wednesday.
