Out of interest where is 'up here'?

We are in the Central Borders, just a dusting of snow here!

West Lanc's, Green with white bits first thing, with a couple big thunder claps as well at 6.am, a strong cold westerly wind with on-and-off hail, nice and sunny between showers.

Sleet for us in the far west last night.

Just been out for a short walk today and there’s a penetrating wind from the north west that got into every nook, cranny and reluctant joint. It was cabin fever that got me out and I couldn’t decide which was worse!

I planned a 40 mile ride today but woke up to minus 3 and thick fog.
Alternative plan is to light the wood burner and read a book.
If it lifts I might just have an hours ride this afternoon.

Hi,
15th Friday, got a ride in.
The temperature varies quite a lot, because it goes near water and marshes which is also a few feet above sea level.
Mist can make it cooler and some times the air though dry can be cool.
But on returning into town I could feel a warm breeze, even though the temp was 6 C.
I can only think the warm (warmer than 6 C) was wafting over the warmer road and concrete.

Lovely day here though the weather forecast says rain -- it's totally out of step and has been since first lock down.

Lovely sunny day again.Felt much cooler than the alleged 8° though!
Still felt better than 45 mins in the bedroom on the indoor trainer!

A beautiful day here in the Borders, not that cold and "Dry Roads" (No bike to clean when I got home.

But for the middle of January, not a bit of snow in the Cheviots! strange

But the more interesting bit from todays weather was the massive cloud bank approaching slowly from the south west, about an hour after that photo was taken the prominent hill in the middle ground (Rubers Law) was swallowed up. Cracking day to be out

Er, yes. Sorry about that. It’s been hanging over us for weeks so the entire population of Cornwall (MickF is at the other end, he’ll back me up on this) faced north-east and blew into the air as hard as we could. 8)
