Steel and concrete production.
Steel accounts for 30 % of co2.

From what I can see, steel presently accounts for around 8% of carbon emissions which can be brought right down with use of RE-produced hydrogen as the reducing agent.

Meanwhile, our weather is as expected for the season: 25°C at present rising to 30° this afternoon. Tomorrow and Thursday we're due a bit more: 35-37°C. This unit will be lying low.
Have we got time for another cuppa?

We could build a pipeline from Ulster to Kent and sell you some water. we could use the money from that daft HS2.

More transfer of water from existing sources within England and Wales could have a big effect.

Do your best, England needs Welsh water.
As Cowsham suggests, it should be paid for too!

Strong & warm winds recently in W.Lanc's, strong enough to break fresh growth branches of a maple tree overhanging my garden. Heavy rain last night, loud enough to wake me up. The recent mix of warm and wet weather has everything growing fast, unlike other parts of the country. Unusually windy for summer I would say.

That Farmoor reservoir seems a bit greedy -- should be called Farmore reservoir.

We had a dry autumn and winter, and now we're having a dry summer.
Yes, it's rained, sometimes hard, but no constant damp weather for months.

Just cut the grass, and although some was quite dense, most wasn't really worth cutting. It was green, but not growing much. The weeds - brambles/bracken/thistles etc - have grown well, and so have the trees and shrubs, but not most of the grass.

In previous years - we've lived at this address for 25years - I've had to cut the grass once a week or more. I've only done it four times this year, and it was similar last year.
