I asked the waitress, "Could you settle an argument for us. Can you pronounce where we are, very slowly?"
The waitress replied, "Burr gerr King"
Very good, like that one

PS,no I can't pronouce it either,as I can't with most Welsh place names which is why I can'trell that joke in person :? .
I ride out into North Wales on my motorcycles at least once a week, luckily I have a close friend who speaks fluent Welsh and so teaches me some of the finer points of Welsh pronunciation which would be OK,but I always forget next time I see some weird Welsh name :?

On train out of Kings Cross.
Train very full.
I was on table for 4, with all seats reserved - including mine - seat number on ticket.
Chap jumped aboard our coach at the last minute - as we pulled out he came to our table and very arrogantly told the lady sitting next to me that she was in his seat.
They compared tickets - lady mild mannered and didn't quite know what to do - quite upset.
Late-coming chap getting very shirty with the lady, and demanding that she moved - after all his ticket was for her seat.
Train conductor came along to sort things out - late coming bloke telling conductor his rights and conductor's responsibilities.
Conductor inspected tickets - the bloke was on the wrong train!

Yesterday,23/07/22,I received a card from RM stating that I had a letter that required a payment of £2.50.
So I walked down to the local sorting office to find a basic letter addressed to me but with no stamp.I was now intrigued so I paid the £2.50 and opened the letter.Inside was a cheque for £98.96 from Community Union for my travel expenses to a recent course I attended
So I had to pay to get my travel expenses

I wonder if they'll refund me.........

Listening to a conversation on the shop floor at work on Friday -- two fellas talking about a computer game I think --

" did ye iver feed yer horse berries?"

"Blue magic like the Flintstones great fer wreckin boys"

"I killed all my dragons"

" did ye iver get yer horse killed?"

"He's runnin roon blak, sick as a dogue an I'm as happy as Larry"

Two grown men -- one of them must be about 40

The sentences sound so funny -- especially in Ulster Scotch.

I could tell them I did...they pay £0.45 per mile,2 mile round trip I'd get my £2.50 back plus £0.90!I'd be up by almost a quid!

It's not: it's politics (or Politics, I'm not sure)
