Not today, but a couple of evenings ago, we watched Back to the Future.
We have it on DVD.

Towards the end, it suddenly occurred to me about how ludicrous the story line was.
Marty goes back in time in a DeLorean, sorts his mother's and father's relationship out, and then comes forward in time in the DeLorean ............. only to see himself going back in time in a DeLorean.

This means that Marty and the DeLorean are in 1955 as well as being in "the present day".
The 1955 Marty and the car, come forward in time to see another Marty and another DeLorean going back to 1955.
This means there are three.
Repeat ad infinitum .................. until the whole planet will be full of Martys and DeLoreans.

Pete and Dud as Derek and Clive made me laugh when I was a teenager.
Which reminds me, Cheech and Chong were good as well.

A cyclist lying on his deathbed asked his best friend to do him a favour when he’d gone. “Anything,” replied his friend.
“Just don’t let my wife sell my bikes for what I told her I paid for them,” he begged.

The old jokes are the best.

In Thought for the Day on R4 this morning a Sikh was talking about the young Sikh woman who has just trekked to the South Pole. He said that some people misheard South Pole as Southall.
It's the same the whole world over
It's the poor what gets the blame
It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Isn't it a blooming shame?

Trundling along in the snow in my wife's wee car I saw a man walking along the road with his 3 young children walking along behind him like little ducks. Behind him was his 4x4 stuck in the ditch.

I did ask if he was OK -- he said a tractor was on it's way.

Just read this comment someone put on youtube, best laugh of the day
In engineering a Truss reinforces weak or potentially failing structures.
In medicine, a Truss supports b**locks.
In politics it does both.

Listening to Vanessa on radio 2 this morning. (4.00 am and couldn't sleep. :( )
A truck driver had messaged in that he was on the M6, just passing Lancaster, and going north to Scotland.
His cargo was garden furniture - a cheery note considering still only January. :)
You'll never know if you don't try it.
