Travelling in the car along a road that flirts with the border of Wales my wife says " we must be in Wales again -- is that Welsh for telephone?" Then I see it -- a telephone box with the word " DEFIBRILLATOR " on top. Although I think it may have had " DEFIBRILIWR " on the other side that she saw so we may have been in Wales. I didn't comment.
(Yous have a habit repurposing stuff here where we would just waste money on building a new big box to house it.)

I was talking to a man in Ballymoney when I stopped for rest on a cycle ride.
He said that he could not see the point of exercise. His son lifted heavy weights in the gym several times per week but when his mother asked him to bring in a bucket of coal in the evening he said that he was too tired!

Marina Hyde, in The Guardian suggests that Vance and Hegseth be pitted against each other in the Fighting Cage Trump has built on the White House lawn.
The winner could take on Musk.
It is a pity that the bone spur hero is too decrepit to join in the fun.

Maybe, but better to have them fight the mayor of Kiev. They could go in individually or all three together - wouldn't make much difference.

I'd like to see that -- I'd only need a very small bag of peanuts cos it wouldn't last too long.

I was .told this terrible pun this morning when out for my early morning walk. A man went to a fancy dress party carrying a lady on his back.when asked what he was he replied I am a turtle and pointing to the lady said that's Michelle. I had to smile.

A lady has just dropped a front wheel off with me to have a puncture repaired.
She said it burst when she was re-inflating it with an electric car tyre pump.
“I didn’t know what to put in so I set it at 200 and it went bang”
Yes, I bet it did.
She saw the funny side anyhow and I sent her on her way with the right pressure (40 psi) for the rear tyre which, despite having the same treatment, was still intact when she left.
“I hope the roof’s still on your house when you get back” I said as she shut the gate.
