End to end via the 3 peaks
I am hoping to organise a ride from Lands end to John O Groats via Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis. I did the End to End using the CTC YHA route in 1998 so am awarethat this route tkes you fairly close to the ben and Scafell Pike. Its the bit into Wales and Snowdon that I'm unsure of. Does anyone know if this has been done before and if so are there any records of the routes used. I intend that the actual ascent of the mountains will be done on foot as i intend to use a road bikefor the ride.

Sounds an interesting ride, I have ascended all three mountains and am ok at road riding - might be interested in joining you - obviously next summer!

Re:End to end via the 3 peaks
I cycled from Salisbury to Bangor this summer and went through Chepstow and past Snowdon (Llanberis/Pen y Pass.)
Chepstow to Llanberis is about 190m I think with lots of hills but it is a good ride. I can e mail you the route I used if you like.

Re:End to end via the 3 peaks
I am an Australian with family in Birmingham
I am putting together a ride for about 4 or 5 of us to do exactly what your planning - End 2 end including the 3 peaks
I could sure any help you or any of the other readers could offer
I agree with another readers comments that the scotish & English peaks are accesable but the snowdon peak is tucked up out of the way
Accomodation is a concern too . Are YHA places far apart ?? I am thinking around 40 - 50 miles /day
PLEASE - PLEASE any help at all
Good on ya Phill

3 Peaks End to End Now there is a challenge. Jo'g ... anybody can jog! End to End
3 Peaks? Yeah!
How about

Brave man making light of it like that!!
I am beginning, only beginning, to get interested.

Re:End to end via the 3 peaks
I have now worked out an outline plan for this to fit into a 2 week slot which is the time that my emloyer will allow a colleague and myself to do it. I can e-mail this to anyone who is interested. My address is mcorn4th@yahoo.co.uk.
I would be grateful for the route from Chepstow to Pen-y Pass. Thanks
