More than a minute?

Post by merseymouth »

Sad news today, Nicholas Parsons has not got a minute any longer, sadly dying age 96!
Has a very long and varied career, well worth his "Talent Fee". Time also meant a lot to him , a real fan of horology. He'll be missed.. MM

He remained incredibly sharpe and witty on the radio right into old age. In a very talented man.

Just a Minute's silence, without repetition, deviation or hesitation.

Great guy.

Oh that’s sad. He really did an excellent job of keeping the chimps on their chairs on Just A Minute. They very rarely got one over on him.
He will be missed here and “Around the world!”.
The older I get the more I’m inclined to act my shoe size, not my age.

A fine entertainer, sadly missed. I was never a fan of Just a Minute, I must admit, thought it too contrived. Incidentally, Chopin's Minute Waltz, the show's signature tune, actually takes a bit more than a minute to play correctly. So this thread's title is apposite. [When I make an attempt at it on my piano, it takes more like ten minutes...   ]
Suppose that this room is a lift. The support breaks and down we go with ever-increasing velocity.
Let us pass the time by performing physical experiments...

i listened to Just a Minute in the early days of the programme and found it funny. I got bored with it after a time and stopped listening.

I like I'm sorry I Haven't a Clue, another long running show. Jack Dee is perfect as host.

Nicholas Parson aged well and was always immaculately dresses.
