Nutrak Slick eBay
Re: Nutrak Slick eBay
Thanks for the experiences stories.
These are foldable. Dunno why small 406 tyres need to be foldable but no doubt they'll be a tad lighter ........... if that's much of an advantage.
Mercian has been on foldable Vittoria Rubino Pros for years. Slicks latterly and love them.

Who make Nutrak tyres?
Can't seem to find Nutrak on the 'net, just companies who sell them.
Is it a brand name or a company name?

Just arrived via the postman.
I'll fit them shortly, then photograph them for your delectation.
Test ride asap but that won't be until Friday (weather permitting).

Re: Nutrak Slick eBay
They're on.
Measure 26mm fully inflated.
Schwalbe Duranos were 28mm and the Conti Sport Contact that I had on the rear measured 30mm.
All are 406/28 of course.
Very happy with 26mm. Seem faster perhaps?
Time will tell.
I asked earlier who makes Nutrak tyres. It's written on the sidewalls.

Re: Nutrak Slick eBay
innova? That makes sense.
BTW I have always pronounced it 'Nu-Trak' but it occurs to me that there is no reason why it shouldn't be pronounced
'Nut-Rak'.... which conjures up an altogether different impression.
I expect I shan't be able to look at one again without sniggering like a schoolboy....
cheers

I can't believe he bought four unknown tyres. I'd have bought one to try.

Re: Nutrak Slick eBay
It's a wonder he didn't use Evan's click and collect service and then pop into the wetherspoons for a session!
Re: Nutrak Slick eBay
Evans don't do tyres that cheap.
I didn't know about the Even Cheaper tyres from Bike Tart ....... in fact I'd never heard of Bike Tart.
I bought "unknown" tyres because it doesn't matter how long or short they last, as nothing that wears lasts long on a Moulton.
Done 7,394 miles on it since buying it brand new in March 2016.
Got through three chains, four pairs of tyres, four 11t cogs, two sets of brake blocks, and this summer(?) I'll be fitting new rims.
At eight quid a tyre, they're cheap as chips. Yes, I could have got them for six quid. Live and learn eh?

PS:
Today looks like it's going to be dry and a good day for cycling ........... though windy and cold.
Trouble is, I'm doing other stuff today, and tomorrow looks awful for cycling.
Sod's Law strikes again.
