which HRM? Garmin compatible

Post by Hudson1984 »

Hiya, I have a garmin edge explore. Just added cadence and speed sensors which seemed easy to add.

would like a HRM to see what the ticker is doing on rides and perhaps look at better training plans etc.

any recommendations? can you just get a chest band with ant+ or whatever connects to the edge?

would like to keep to garmin

Not familiar with that model garmin, but yes if it's ANT compatible then any ANT HR monitor will communicate with it.
I have a Garmin Touring Plus and after trying and not liking a chest monitor bought a Scosche arm monitor which I much prefer. I've had mine a few years and they have apparently got better, though I've been happy enough with mine.

The unit is compliant with "Ant +"

Theoretically, any other "Ant+" item would be compatible. Garmin does have a list of compatible accessories
