My Hubba Hubba has a slight tear in the fly sheet.
Any recommendations on a patch?
Thanks folks.
Stay safe.

Use a circular piece of Gorilla Tape. Ally it with a tale of 'there I was, thought I was going to die' and consider it a badge of honour.
Unless the fly is silicone coated, in which case use Silnet
or similar as adhesive under patch of whatever you choose. Just remember the story

McNett Tenacious Tape does a good neat job and can be peeled off if necessary without leaving a sticky mess. It is designed for exactly this purpose.

Sail repair tape. It's very waterproof and durable. There are some sails I have repaired with the tape still in place after 15 years.
I have reels of white, red and black. Let me know if you need a small bit and I'll post for a small donation to a cancer charity.

Don't use Gorilla tape. Use Spinnaker Tape (sail repair tape) - it is specifically designed to provide strong repairs on lightweight synthetic fabric.
Oh, and the McNett Tenacious tape is great for heavier weight waterproof clothing, but it is not light and flexible enough for a flysheet.

If small enough use whatever seam sealer is suitable for the fly, using some tape as backing.
If larger, I'd suggest belt and braces - suitable patches plus seam sealer.
After some cat damage I repaired with tenacious tape & patches but these failed, albeit with heavy use in extreme weather.

I bought a self adhesive strip about 8" long from a camping retailer on ebay and cut it to size. It's been on the porch door of my old 2-manner for about 5 or 6 years now and works brilliantly!

Two diametrically opposed ideas. Just out of interest RobinS why wouldn't you use GT?

I'm a bit puzzled by this as I've always found it to be light and flexible and worked fine on a small split in the flysheet of a Vango Tempest. It was a few years ago, has it changed?

Strip of what?
A strip of sticky-backed flysheet material(nylon?).A bit thicker than my flysheet but a very similar colour.I applied it to the underside anyway.

Thus looks good.
Any details on eBay seller and description of item so I can search?
Many thanks for other suggestions.

I used a Park self-adhesive puncture repair patch on the groundsheet of my Laser tent, since that was all I had at the time when it split. Haven't got the tent here to check if it's still doing well, but haven't had any issues when using it camping.
