Hi all a bit confused, I’m looking to buy some new lighter weight wheels that what I have, I have an 8 speed shimano cassette and free hub. If I buy a say 10 or 11 speed wheel with a 10 /11 speed hub can I use my 8 speed cassette using spacers ? Any help on this would be appreciated.

Re: Cassette and free hub
So long as you keep to the same manufacturer (eg Shimano/SRAM cassette with same freehub) you’ll be fine.
(I have had 9-speed cassettes on my 10-speed hubs and a 10-speed cassette - with the spacer supplied - on my 11-speed wheels. All Shimano kit.)
