Dawes Sterling

Post by van »

I am new to all this.

I have seen a ladies second hand Dawes Sterling Tourer for sale. seller says it is about 4 years old and in good condition. He is selling it for about 150 pound.

I have no idea if it is worth this amount. anyone got any idea? It would be for me to go out on road for a couple of hours a few times a week.

This one's used for hiring, looks reasonable for £150...suggest you haggle..a little!.

I bought a Dawes Sterling back in 1999 new for around £400 complete with all the extras I specified - rear carrier & computer. It is not the lightest of cycles but reliable with powerful V-brakes and a wide set of gears suited to the Devonshire roads. The one I've got is a hybrid with aluminium frame. Earlier versions were proper touring cycles with dropped bars - cheaper version of Galaxy.
