:( not good news, these time are trying...
Enjoy your retirement :) and thanks for your service.

My first decent bicycle was a Bob jackson that was gifted to me by my local bike shop owner... He was a rough stuff cyclist too, so not only did I get a nice working bicycle he instilled in me a love for countryside riding...

That's good. Perhaps I'll get the bottom bracket shell repaired/replaced/rethreaded on my winter bike. Jackson's did some work on it about 15 years ago, and re-painted it then. So its a semi-Jackson frame.

It's useful to have the full price list for repairs and renovations for when the question is posed on here

I see this includes

New lamp boss on fork £25.00

A blast from the past if ever there was.

It's good to know the business will continue.

This is indeed great news. Hopefully their prices will not triple, although if a modest cost increase is what's required to keep them in business for another century, so be it.

I've always thought their prices seemed reasonable, so yes, a bit of an increase to keep them in business would be fine. If only I knew what "VAT may apply" meant. I suppose I better call them and ask.

I'm going to wait a bit and see if they expand any of their offerings at all. A tourer that will take more than 32mm tyres would be nice. And some frame geometry details would be nice.

Supposed to be re-setting up in Wales?
The new folks gave a mini presentation to my local cycling group and then that's the last I heard.
A fine old building Witcombs had.
Very kindly did a nice little job on an old Dale of mine.

It may be that the new owners aren't ready to trade yet, perhaps?

[Waiting or a container load of Alu and carbon frames from the Far East, I don't doubt] - he says in an inappropriate attempt at humour :?
