Giant Fast Road electric bike front wheel - removal ?

Can anyone tell how to remove a Giant Fast Road electric bike front wheel, It looks like a quick release skewer but I have my doubts,

Probably a through axle, just turn the handle counterclockwise and pull the axle out.
Disconnect the electric connections.

From the spec it looks like they use a through axle -- just unscrew it and pull it out -- there's threads cut into the other fork. It's to help locate the wheel better since it employs a disc brake dropouts can let the axle be offline slightly making it sometimes necessary to align the caliper after wheel removal so through axles solve this problem to a large extent, that's what I found when I bought a bike with through axles.
