Guessing but I'm wondering if it's those senior Ministers who are hoping to stand in the liely leadership contest. Break with Johnson as sticking with him resolutely until the end would mean no hope of becoming next leader whereas show you loyalty and dissatisfaction now and they can make the case "they are doing the right thing".

So maybe Ms Truss will follow them soon?

"Liz Truss is "100 percent behind the Prime Minister", a source close to the Foreign Secretary has told Express.co.uk."

So you could well be right.

I presume they are all scheming in overdrive. Perhaps Michael Gove is one to watch

The one to watch is Boris himself.
Go, or be pushed.

Perhaps the difference between this and previous leadership crises is that the assumption seems to be that Boris Johnson will hang on indefinitely, no matter what. That has the potential to cause problems as the rest of the universe rolls on.

Something on the Radio the other day was that if 1922 guy gets letters from more than 50% of MPs they don't need wait 12 months and don't need another vote. That many letters is enough to do it on its own. I don't know that procedures/constitution so I'm just repeating what I heard the other day (and I can't remember who said it).

One sign Johnson's rule is over ("bar the shouting") is ... where's Nadine? Normally she's on every news program within seconds, wearing out Twitter's servers declaring Johnson's Infallibility.

Maybe her silence speaks volumes.
