The Select Committee thinks it stinks. Report is in plain language and only took a few days. Exemplary.

Just another irrelevance to the real issues, another diversion of public focus. Maybe an extreme example, but this is how the appointments system works.Jdsk wrote: ↑12 Feb 2023, 9:09am "Appointment of Richard Sharp as Chair of the BBC":

And the temperature is rising:
"With a potentially explosive appearance at the Commons privileges committee due on Wednesday, the Observer can reveal that the former PM’s legal team intends to publish written evidence, including new witness statements, supporting Johnson’s claim that he did not knowingly mislead MPs over lockdown parties – as well as examples of the advice he was given at the time."

Re: Boris's Brain is missing
The continued attempt to dissemble to avoid responsibility for the appalling events makes me even more angry than the events did themselves.
I find it quite hard to write rationally about it,.
Also, it's shocking anyone can still support this sorry excuse for a human.
How did we ever let him into a position of such responsibility?

Will this pathalogical liar be booted out of his terrible and selfcentred political party or will they continue to uphold him as their Bullingdon bright boy who won them the election by spouting a diatribe of lies from the rooftops now exposed for all to see?

The only important thing is "...who won them the election...". All and everything else can be forgiven by the Tory Party.

Thanks. David Allen Green is invariably well written and tightly argued and would make an excellent role model for anyone wishing to learn how to communicate well in writing.Jdsk wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 5:09pm"How much better, from a political perspective, if Johnson had simply turned up to tell the truth to a committee of his fellow members of parliament – instead of this legalistic arms race."roubaixtuesday wrote: ↑22 Mar 2023, 11:43am The continued attempt to dissemble to avoid responsibility for the appalling events makes me even more angry than the events did themselves.

That piece, and those immediately preceding, very nicely skewer Johnson as the narcissist dissembler many of us have always regarded him.
Re: Boris's Brain is missing
He can easily afford the legality with the quarter million pounds worth of legal aid funding plundered from the UK tax payer."How much better, from a political perspective, if Johnson had simply turned up to tell the truth to a committee of his fellow members of parliament – instead of this legalistic arms race."
With legal aid rapidly becoming a memory it remains one law for them and one for us,
or socialism for the rich and a free enterprised kick in the nuts for everyone else.
