Dishwasher beeping

My Indesit dishwasher has started beeping during the cycle.

Now, clearly beeping means something or else it wouldn't be doing it :(

Except that the manual that came with it makes no reference to beeping, and the manufacturers' website makes no reference to beeping (only lights flashing in some weird code, but that isn't happening).

Does anyone know how on earth you find out what it means?

I can't help but it is gratifying to note that your dishwasher has a cycle. :D

Excellent. I hope that it isn't of a "less common" type.

Could be it thinks it needs salt or rinse aid ?
Door not closed properly. ?
Apparently there could be sensors to detect -
Anti-flood has detected water outside the drum (in the base) ?
Blockage in the spray arms. ?

It is an electric cycle.

It thinks something wrong. There might well be something wrong but I’d try a reset first before looking at AO.com :D
I’ve cajoled our faulty dishwasher since the spring but decided two weeks ago enough is enough.

If it's anything like my bread maker it means that it's time to add the raisins, cheese or similar.

Did you watch Snackmasters last night? One of them used a tumble dryer to coat "Quavers" with cheese.

Check you put crockery in there not clothes.

On a related note, I ran out of tablets for ours one day and thought a bit of washing up liquid would be worth a try. It was only about a teaspoonful but it totally filled the machine and half the kitchen floor in bubbles.

Yeah - really don’t try that. Dishwasger soap is not latherable...

Ours is currently running with a mop jammed between it and the cupboard opposite, since the catch has failed in a way I can’t fathom at the moment (I can’t fathom how it ever latched, it’s such a gentle over an design ...

it's surprisingly easy to get parts... once you've identified them...
