The CTC Route Guide

Post by mel »

For some years, early 1980's think, I have owned a copy of the book "The CTC Route Guide" by Christa Gausden and Nicholas Crane. ISBN 0 902 280 64 3. The book contains detailed guides to quite on-road routes throughout the UK and Ireland and gives useful information about the History of the places along the routes. I suspect these routes now form the basis for the present CTC Byeways route sheets. Although the book is over 20 years old all of the routes remain relevant today, the book is also a good read in it's own right. I'm sure if the book were republished, and updated, for instance some of the YH's may have now closed, it could also contain camp site locations, it would sell well.

The CTC route guide is readily available second hand from ABE.co.uk - the best site for finding second hand books, apart from mine of course! Any problems please e-mail braz@stennack.co.uk (The Hodder Bookfinding Service). We have been finding out-of-print books for people for over 30 years now - and whilst many books can now be sourced quite easily on the Web we are the one's to speak to if you are looking for something very obscure or difficult to find!
