Extra long tape . . .

Last year I bought a (pretty much new) bike on Ebay with intention of using it for touring/bikepacking trips. Since then, I've enjoyed tinkering around with it, switching around bars, stems, tyres etc, generally with stuff I have sitting round in my parts bin. For some quite some time I fancied having a try with a trekking (butterfly) bar, so bought a fairly cheap offering to test the water and I've really taken to it. Never got on with drops, despite several attempts over the years, but the trekking bar (double wrapped) is great. The only thing is the tape length.., Unfortunately the amount of bar tape required to sufficiently wrap each side of the bar (particularly with the added width from double wrapping), seems to be more than generally comes on a roll. I realise I could try and join two lengths, or maybe use a bar grip in the area more usually held for general riding then tape the rest, but ideally I'd like to tape all the required length. Similarly, I would rather avoid the long foam grips that some people opt for on such a handlebar. So, to my question.., Is there an extra long bar tap available? Or for those who use a trekking bar, how have you dealt with this?
Many thanks.

You can achieve a similar effect to double wrapping by applying the inner tape lengthways on the top edge of the bar. This way you should have enough to cover the bars with two sets of bar tape (4 rolls).
You will need two pieces (one each above and below the lever) on each side. Taking one of these off each roll will mean most of each of the rolls is left for the outer covering. With what is left start each one, secured with some insulation tape, at the lever and wrap one towards the centre of the bar and the other towards the end.

100m roll of bar tape, any colour your want, as long as it is black.
Newbaums cloth tape, regular rolls are 10ft.

Or, you could try:

PRO Extra Long is 2.3m each side. I think most bar tape comes in roughly 2m lengths, so that's about 15% extra - is that enough to cover the gap?

On my wife's butterfly bars the area between the brake levers and the eds has a normal bar grip. That's where most use is for her. We found that tape didn't last all that long because of the use and possibly the way it was held. Thus the length of each normal roll of tape was more than enough.
I would have though that double taping would only be needed in one place, the place where you hold the bars on rough ground where double tapping might be needed. For the occasional hand locations why double up? In my case, the grip is in the most widely used, secure place ad thus removes the need to double tape.
