I would like to see the CTC look to set up a "prosecute drivers" fund, for cases like these. It's a charity I would happily donate to.
Belgiangoth remarks about the Hampshire cyclist death case, but which applies equally well to Mr.Clarkson and his (GBH/manslaughter) threats
This is a bit of a poser..........

Given the Government's stance on hunting foxes, maybe they would allow hunting the Clarkson instead? If he was dragged, rather than just chased and torn to pieces, many hunts could benefit from the experience. The sport could be called Hunt the C... (Clarkson - of course!).

During the recent Jeremy Clarkson tirade when he ststed he would run down any cyclist who was in his way(or words to such effect) would the outcome of the following situation be?
Mr J Bloggs while waiting at the traffic lights fails to get away fast enough when they turn to green. Mr Clarkson runs down Mr Bloggs because he was not quick enough.
Now because Mr Clarkson has already stated publicly and in writing that he would run down a cyclist in his way could he be charged with murder as the article shows premeditation???
He could, but how do we search a pictorial archive for the exact words and how would the police do it, say in three years time?
We have established what was said in the Daily mail as non actionable but what about words
spoken before 1/2 million people with accompanying clips?
If I knew, I would be a much wealthier man
