i want a 3 speed hub fitted to a single speed rear wheel 26 1/4 what would a rough price for a cycle shop to do this be ? 40 spoke wheel

do you have the rim and the hub? 40h 26x1-1/4" rims are not easy to come by. 40h SA 3s hubs are a fair bit easier to come by.

Spokes and build is likely to come to around £50. I would strongly recommend the use of spoke washers (possibly two per spoke) if you are putting modern spokes into an old SA hub.
