There's also one on the corner of Arroll Drive and Auchentrae Crescent in Seafield, Ayr - it's a 'Category B listed building'!

Not a Queen Victoria one, but possibly a rarer Edward VII Box ?
I didn’t realise there were any at all. Well spotted. Where is it, if I may ask?
There's 1,636 in the UK according to
Taginfo, so it's likely to be more than that number.
According to OSM there's a post box with an ER royal cypher, I presume it isn't referring to Elizabeth Tudor...

Unless it's a time travelling post box - I've heard there's a time travelling police box but I believe it's just a myth.

Just a quickie about Queen Vic and all that.
She had a Silver Jubilee 25years after 1837 = 1862
Golden was at 50years = 1897
The standard anniversaries were every 25years in those days, but they "invented" the diamond jubilee for her at 60years ........ should have been 75years of course but the country and the Empire needed a boost.
The jubilee/anniversaries were re-invented for Victoria.

There wasn't a Silver Jubilee. Albert had just died.
The Golden Jubilee was in 1887, not 1897.

Sorry, arithmetic is wrong!
She ascended the throne in 1837.
Golden Jubilee was therefore 50years later at 1887
Until then, diamond anniversaries were at 75years, but the Empire needed a boost and she was getting old, so they re-invented the diamond for only ten years later instead of twenty-five years later.
That tradition has remained and become a standard.

Noticed two VR postboxes on NCN 41 the other day. No photos sorry, but here is one on google streetview. It's in Elberton:

The other is in or near Saul, but I don't remember precisely where. Sorry.

I passed 2 on my way into work this morning. Both have seen better days but are still in use. There are apparently quite a few here in Nottingham - both of these were just off Lenton Boulevard.

There are two hexagonal Victorian post boxes within a few hundred metres of each other on Devonshire Rd, London SE23
This one is in Woodfield Rd in Harrogate and is a bit of an anomaly as it is in an area of relatively modern housing with no evidence of older housing having been demolished.

A Somerset example in Loxton, close to where the M5 chops through the end of the Mendip
why are they sidewise on here?, the uploaded files are the right way about.

I found another post box a few days ago, at Palace Green, Durham. It is near the cathedral. Although this one's a replica of a Victorian post box, it may be of interest on this thread?
