My alcohol use was much like yours. With several years struggling the controle things.
A Private prescription for Naltrxone completely removed any attraction for alcohol. Clear now for six months.

I gotta say, speaking as someone who drank too much for years, it's flippin' great waking up every day with no hangover !

Indeed! The memories of waking up feeling like death are fortunately far distant for me - 25 years abstinent. I actually look forward to getting up in the morning these days!
