I've been thinking about that "threat to kill" thing too, but I think it would be difficult to getanyone to take us sriously (depressing.)

Issuing a threat to kill is generally associated
with celebrities.

All cyclists could do with Clarkson is to demand an apology, which if done, as far as Clarkson is concerned, would be sufficient. And as far as a cyclists is concerned in a time to come would save the day.

There are well recorded and documented cases
of Presenters (in USA) imagining that they can get away with crime by Using their presenting skills to set criticism aside, to prepare people for the crime and then to obtain exculpation afterwards.
"It was my lookalike who did it... honest!"

He would be wise to apologise to the cycling community in view of what his staff correspondent openly admits he did say on the programme (adjoining thread TopGear reply).

Wouldn't all anti cycling motorists laugh if he went out, killed somebody, had already told peoiple that is what he would do, and was acquitted because it was "an accident" .... and well represented by lawyers.

See how clever Clarkson is.
