Whilst I was stopped off outside a cafe eating a bacon butty mid-ride, a guy came past, wheeling a mountain bike (the ones with fat tyres) moaning that it was his fourth puncture in three days and that he couldn't afford any more inner tubes. He was paying Halfords £19 to fit and replace an inner tube. Halfords obviously hadn't found the source of the puncture and had just replaced the tube.

The guy, dressed in normal clothes had no pump, spare tube or tools. I pumped up his rear tyre so that he
could make progress. After finishing my bacon butty and quenching my thirst, I soon caught up with him,
as he was on the pavement with his bike, bemoaning his bad luck. He was off to the nearest bike shop to pay them to fit another inner tube that he'd have to purchase.

Had one tonight probably pinch puncture jumped on a bike without checking the pressures, as a spoke came loose on intended bike. 2 mile walk home as it got dark. Didn't take a front light doh!

Would you have walked it if you did have a front light jamesh?
Or was there another problem with your bike?

I walked as it was dusk and by the time I'd changed a tube it would have been dark hey ho.

Brought 3 new tubes this morning.

Noticed that Halfords size them as 23 - 32mm which covers all my bikes which is useful.
