One starting point in research could be to see if riders using disc brakes slide in one direction than the other direction, assuming some sort of turning force occurs and has some effect. It may have no effect but watching the crashes on TV may give some data.It looks like in wet weather discs have a higher skid risk, if applied to full extent.
Is there a turning moment with the disc being to one side?
