SIDI shoes

Post by chris_suffolk »

Does anybody know of a stockist of SIDI shoes in Suffolk, Norfolk or Essex? Not wanting Wiggle, Chainreaction etc but an actual bricks and mortar shop where I can try them on. Been searching online to no avail.

Thanks

I searched 'Sidi shoe importer UK' and got a map showing locations of stores.

Could you post a link, as I tried that and all the stores were in Italy, or Motor cycle shops.

Thanks, yes I found that too, and I can contact them. I thought that you said you had a map with store locations on it, which would be far more useful.

It came up the first time I looked and when I repeated the search I couldn't find it, oh! the wonders of technology.

Go to the Saddleback site linked to above, scroll down to the site map at the bottom of the page and click on the “stockist locator” link.

I wonder how many of us (myself included) just looked out of curiosity?

Site isn't loading, well for me at least, so I tried phoning them. Not loading for them either, but worse, they couldn't give me ANY local stockists, just web ones such as Sigma. So not looking good for buying Sidi any time soon then.

Sigma do have some bricks and mortar shops in London and a newly opened one in Oakham. Not in your preferred East Anglia but not too far away.

Rutland Cycles do Sidi too. They have branches in the East Midlands and East Anglia.
Sherwood CC and Notts CTC.

Had my last pair from Wiggle, no problems encountered!
You've got far more rights buying online, don't like stuff.......send it back. Buy from a shop and decide a few days later you don't like your purchase, the retailer has no legal obligation to refund you or issue you a credit note.

If it helps, my Sidis are euro size 46 and my normal UK size is 10. So go up one UK size, then convert. I'm assuming the OP is a Christopher, not a Christine, as Sidi women's sizes might not run quite the same.

Online shoe retailers more generally now seem to cater for easy returns. I take an 8/42 in most makes but I have broad feet and in the past I've needed a bigger size to accommodate that. In Sidi I take a 43 and when they were laced and Oxford style, they weren't ideal. Velcro straps were a big improvement but I still need 43 and the straps don't go as far across as the manufacturers intended. (I've never had anything more sophisticated than the Velcro.)

Some models of Sidi come in a Mega range, which is wider fitting. I too take 42, bu ta 43 in Sidi and preferring a Mega fitment for winter socks.

I've still got my old sidi hawaii shoes, my first pair for clipless pedals, still use them occasionally, oooh they're like an old pair of slippers!
