Cables advice required please

Until recently a bike shop was a 40 ml round trip for me. Fortunately I now have one within a 20 mile bike ride and I now usually trade half a dozen eggs for a cable.

You keep chickens? Cool! - Any type of specific breed?

Couple of Blackrock pensioners a Maran and a couple of Rhode Islands. Keep us in eggs and a few to use as favours and they are eggcellent for keeping delivery drivers sweet.

As well as inners, you might need outers from the brakes/ shifters to the lugs on the frame. There might be enough in the existing, depending how far you moved the bars, but even if they ‘reach’ check they don’t tighten against the frame too much when turning.

All sorted now thanks to advice taken plus a couple of universal brake cable kits and one ditto gear
