Correct! Orla is a good presenter and well informed. Brad seems to be transitioning from super human racing snake to mere mortal proportions. The only saving grace from the dire editing is the race itself doesn't seem to have started yet and the fashion on the sofa adds interest.

Overall the post-race sofa chat is the best bit of the Quest Highlights prog. (Is Orla trying to compete - grooming wise - with that Australian sheila the BBC used to hire?)
I do rate Orla's presenting and knowledge very highly. Sean Kelly is pretty good on the sofa too, but I'm increasingly distracted by his hair colour ...

Despite being a Brad fan, he doesn't add much. The two younger fellas (Adam and Dan?) are good value though, more of them please!

Very true.

Sean Kelly is like Marmite and, I for one, cannot stand his incessant monotone drone.
Nor do I enjoy David Millar drone on too.

Phil Ligget and Paul Sherwin RIP any day.

Chris Boardman would be an interesting commentator...

Or even better DS

But like Gary Linaker knows which way his bread is buttered!

Cheers James

Brad’s still got those jeans on, probably can’t get them off, Orla has gone leopard skin print…

Just been listening, Sean is a bit of a downer. Looking at the last post and didn't know Phil Leggit had gone, used to like his take on Le Tour, loads of knowledge.

Another day, more coverage coleslaw as Quest stick Orla's summary/intro to part 2 on the start of part 3 instead, where it made no sense.

At least they are now showing some of the earlier racing and not simply doing eurosport's usual of replaying the final 45 minutes. Still far worse than itv.

Phil Liggett scuppered his career by being the last person on earth to believe in Lance Armstrong.

I'm sure that didn't help but the reason he was replaced for itv was it became too difficult scheduling all the different ad break lengths in multiple countries (UK, USA and Australia back then). Phil still commentates for NBC in the USA, with Bob Roll now.

Eurosport has been rediscovering this problem in their Vuelta coverage, with the added complication of an ad-free version. They often cut to or return from ads in the middle of sentences, and use extended station logo sequences and "Top 5" clips to fill the gaps between shortest and longest ad breaks.
