Imagine riding around with “Stolen Goat” emblazoned on your jersey - IME it’s nearly as bad as FLAB (Fat lad at the back)
There's a trend for farm animals

I'm starting a brand called 'Pedalling Heifer' for the us more rotund types
I used to have some FLAB gear but I lost weight.Decent quality stuff.

So... long story about the origin of the name. Then he tells us "OK, no that’s not what happened at all"

Excellent

I've no objection to the name, but it's club kit, the thing that should be obvious is the name of the club, the most prominent thing on the Heritage range is the Stolen Goat motif, I'm not a member of that club.
I also dislike the idea of frequently changing kit, what's the point? Isn't the whole idea of club kit that other club members are wearing the same?
I don't mind paying the price for quality, but obviously not everyone is lucky enough to have that disposable income, so much for inclusivity, do Cycling UK see their typical member as someone with £125 to spend on a jersey? As a comparison the UK made Audax UK kit is about 40% cheaper.

There's a lot to be said for a quick scan before detailed reading anything. I saw the conclusion of this shaggy dog story - something like "Thanks for reading" and thought "Not me, chum."
I'm increasingly wary of commenting on what I'd term the club-related aspects of CUK activities, but I think PH has got it right. The thing the CUK marketing bods should be alert to here is that PH is a supporter and involved. Not a grumpy old git like me. Feedback like that is gold dust and they ignore it at their peril. By gold dust I mean worth more than any number of surveys.

I've tried to find how to buy the nicer looking Audax UK shirt shown on the website, but the site website is very confusing.
The Stolen Goat kit looks nice, but yes, it's pricey and it has a big non-club logo.

Which shirt?
As far as I'm aware (I'm no authority on anything Audax) all the official kit is available from the Force GB shop.
Or do you mean the PBP shirt? You have to pay for that in blood and tears and then only in a PBP year (No I don't have one, nor is there any prospect of doing so)

A lady in my U3A cycling group was wearing a very bright Stolen Goat top. When I commented on it she insisted that the brand name Stolen is actually pronounced "Stollen" as in fruit cake. I suspected that this was tosh but was it?
