Letter to Tom Brake MP re Clarkson

Post by gar »

Daer Mr Brake,
With regard to your early day motion about Mr. Clarkson,
the CTC (Cycle touring club) message board correspondents of whom there are certain to be some
who cycle within your constituency, also wish to censure Mr. Clarkson, and require an apology,
retraction for his stated wish and encouragment to "kill a cyclist going throuh a light on red."

His office admit that he made the remark, and say that it is "Jeremy's style" I have posted the
correspondence to the CTC message board, which is an open board.

Have a bit of Charity, Clarkson!

I have listed the correspondence and there is a discussion by other members of the 60,000
strong CTCGB at that cyberplace.

Kind Regards for your parliamentary campaigns,

GO GAR GO!

Let's hope this one doesn't get brushed aside in the same way!
He (Clarkson) also stated he would run down any cyuclist waiting legitimately ahead of him at the lights, which may be interesting to include in letters, and said cyclists are guests of motorists.

Let's keep this on top.

He (Clarkson) also stated he would run down any cyclist waiting legitimately ahead of him at the lights, which may be interesting to include in letters, and said cyclists are guests of motorists.
With that........

If I don't get any response I shall watch, take the names of the production staff and producer and start bugging them. where is that BBC complaints email address ?. It is on one of these
threads.

Nb - what I said he said in my post was what I found on the internet quoted from his column in the Sun (and correlates with what a letter in Cycle mentioned) so I'm not sure he actually said it on BBC programming.
It (and his attitude in general) is none the less appauling.

Nb - what I said he said we said you said they said... did dun do dung!

Is not even viable as a complaint , and most certainly not actionable.

We are drawing attention to the question by dicussing though as my hard copy newsagent is aware. that we have "got something going with Clarksin"

It's not a sense of humour you need in order to fully appreciate the 'wit' of Clarkson. What you need is to be aged about 10.

Clarkson is a schoolboy who has never grown up, hence his schoolboy humour. He has no time for anyone but himself, is not funny and is simply an affensive buffoon who makes remarks and comments about minorities, who, if he made the same remarks about ethnic minorities, would have lost his job with the BBC long ago.
A sesnse of humour is fine as long as you are funny, which this idiot isn't.

If Clarkson were less than 6'5", in fact if he were a dwarf, he would fit in to the TV screen much better. Strangely BBC has a tradition for very short people, which may partly be why he is such a goof.
Dwarfs do well there because it gives them the opportunity to be tin pot dictators by overawing everybody but in real life being extremely small.

I do appreciate the presence of "Tall" people on the BBC programs for that reason.

In order to understand Clarkson or agree with him it is essential that you don't know anything about the environmental damage cars are doing, how their overuse is tearing society apart and about the needs of cyclists. You must have no concept of their legal rights whatsoever or you will see through his pathetic accusations.
