Private prosecution of Clarkson?

Post by gar »

If we could find the exact words and the camera work which went with it, there might be grounds for a private prosecution.

It could be done in the county court, which costs nothing. Then there would be publicity in the press for a rearguard action against him, even if they took it to the high court.

I am trying to think on what grounds though as I have suggested that only an apology is necessary to get round the likelihood that
Stilly pointed out...... of the actual occurence being "manslaughter" with these comments and
"careless driving" without them.

I shall request the exact words and images from the production team.

So it's Clarkson's style? What's yours? Killing blacks, Paki's, women, crips ... ?

I agree with you entirely Hermann!

Andy Tallis recollection of what he has said deserves another complaint to the BBC letter write replier and to the Top Gear production team "contact us" on their website.

I am a pacifist and don't enjoy the "battlefield on the roads" either. I do eat meat though, enjoy a good steak.

Mmmmm, steak...
(Guess who hasn't had their dinner yet!)
I'm wondering if a compliant to the sun is in order as Clarkson made such horrendous comments in there? Admittedly I haven't made any formal complaints to anyone yet - not too good at getting around things - but will try to email the BBC soon.
I read in October/November Cycle that complaints were made to the Sun and little coverage given. Perhaps it isn't worth wasting our time on that "paper."

If you want to go after the Sun, check the Press Complaints website at http://www.pcc.org.uk/complaint/how_complaint.htm

Oh, and Gar, it's in Welsh, too.
